What We Do

• We present frequent seminars around Mental Health and Race awareness. Career Legal is an accredited level 1 disability confident organisation
• Within Career Legal we have 9 D&I champions representing: Race, Disability, Neurodiversity, Social Mobility, Gender, Age, LGBTQ+ and Religion
• All employees have undertaken unconscious bias training, including training on inclusive job advertising
• A new Career Legal website is currently under construction to improve accessibility
• Our offices are fully accessible to all candidates wishing to meet our consultants
• As an employer Career Legal offer flexible and hybrid working for less mobile employees
• Our recruiters have received online training during 2022 on how to write CV’s for people with physical and hidden disabilities through the Sports and Business charity
• We ask candidates if they require any adjustments when organising interviews with clients
• We regularly manage surveys and data analysis on D&I for candidate registration, CV’s sent, interviews attended and successful placements.
• We actively encourage all our clients to look at a more diverse range of candidates for each recruitment project.
• We partner with RARE recruitment – ‘Race Fairness Commitment’
• We are currently initiating an internal mentoring scheme across the wider firm We partner with various firms on D&I and Mental Health awareness events
• We’re involved in social mobility activities – we offer local schools and colleges support for CV writing and ‘interview tip workshops’ – our consultants volunteer for this throughout the business on a regular basis
