The Opportunity
The firm is looking to appoint an Associate (2–3 PQE) to join its Core Real Estate team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on experience with high-quality, varied property work for an impressive client base, including investors, developers, major corporates and public sector organisations.
The Team
The Cardiff Real Estate team sits within a market-leading national practice. The group includes Associates, Senior Associates, Partners and Legal Directors, offering real strength in depth and plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced lawyers.
The team advises clients across the full real estate lifecycle, including:
- Acquisitions and disposals
- Lettings and landlord/tenant matters
- Development work
- Ongoing asset management
The culture is collaborative, supportive and knowledge-driven, with regular interaction across the wider UK network.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on a broad range of real estate matters including acquisitions, disposals, lettings and asset management
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, contracts and related documents
- Managing your own transactions from start to finish, ensuring excellent client service
- Supporting senior lawyers and partners on complex matters
- Building strong relationships with clients and contributing to business development
Skills & Experience
You will ideally bring:
- Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales with 2–3 years’ PQE in real estate
- Solid technical knowledge of property transactions and landlord/tenant work
- Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple matters and work effectively under pressure
- A proactive, commercially minded approach to client service
- A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
