My client, a leading international law firm are looking for an experienced company secretary to join their growing team.
The Role
The Company Secretary will have a variety of tasks.
- Serve as the main contact for the board, shareholders, and regulatory bodies on governance matters.
- Coordinate and facilitate board meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Draft and file statutory documents and maintain corporate records.
- Advise management and the board on governance best practices.
- Manage shareholder communications and organise annual general meetings.
The Candidate
The ideal Company Secretary will possess:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and team skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility, initiative, and dependability.
- Ability to build confidence and trust quickly with others.
We are looking for a Company Secretary to be based in our Abu Dhabi office only (We will not consider our Dubai Office). Minimum 3 days in the office each week.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field (Corporate Governance or Company Secretary certification is highly desirable
Proven experience in corporate governance, company secretarial work, or corporate law (minimum of two years preferred). Not suitable for a Legal PA, with no Company Secretarial experience.
