Our client is a leading law firm with origins dating back to the late 1700s. Having established themselves as market leaders in banking and corporate, they have grown internationally with over 700 members of staff located across offices in the UK, Middle & Far East.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts for fee earners and business services
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to guide them through budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Develop and maintain financial models for planning and analysis
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary on actuals vs. budget/forecast
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly management reporting
  • Contribute to the improvement of FP&A processes and systems
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects
  • There will be a secondary focus on management accounting.  This will involve supporting the wider management accounts team as required in the preparation of the quarterly accounts as well as reporting to departments on their performance to date and outlook for the future

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with law firm finance experience
  • Strong analytical and Excel modelling skills
  • Confident in communicating with senior stakeholders independently
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse financial data
  • Independent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Prior FP&A experience in a professional services firm is a plus
