Our client is a law firm whose clients range from start-up companies to major corporations and include multinational brands and rights owners, early stage venture capital funds, investment companies & hedge funds and entrepreneurs. They specialise in corporate, commercial, employment, family, finance, intellectual property, litigation, private wealth, property and tax law.  

They are looking for a Client Legal Cashier to join their finance department. Applicants must have used Aderant and have a minimum of two years’ legal cashiering experience gained within law firms. They are seeking a dynamic candidate, with good qualifications, who thrives on new challenges.

Duties

  • Processing client financial transactions, including payments, transfers, and postings.
  • Performing daily client-to-office transfers.
  • Reconciling all office and client bank accounts daily
  • Ensuring compliance with the firm’s policies and the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Regularly clearing residual client account balances.
  • Running the mass interest calculator monthly and applying interest on an ad hoc basis as required.
  • Managing queries and providing prompt resolutions.
  • Administering designated deposit accounts.
  • Releasing payments through the firm’s online banking platform.
  • Covering office bills and receipts in the absence of designated colleagues.

Candidate Profile 

  • Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Broad expertise in both client and office cashiering.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy, with the ability to reconcile accounts effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently and professionally at all levels.
  • Proactive team player who is willing to assist colleagues when needed while managing individual tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Prior experience with Aderant systems is essential.
