Legal Counsel – IP /Trademarks

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a 2 PQE IP lawyer to join the Brand Protection team in the prestigious legal department to help support the enforcement of this global brand.
Role Details:
Based in the heart of the West End, this position will report into the Senior Counsel, Brand Protection and work closely with the wider in-house Brand Protection Team on trademark enforcement.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Working on enforcement matters, UK and globally, instructing local counsel and reviewing correspondence including cease and desist letters
- Prepare and review settlement agreements
- Review and analysis of IP monitoring and surveillance reports, recommending next steps
- Assist in the response to 3rd party queries in relation to use of this global IP brand
- Work with senior members of the team on problematic IP files as and when they arise.
- Maintain record keeping entries
- Collaborate on 3rd party company names surveillance and enforcement
Candidate Profile
You will ideally be between 2 years’ PQE, with experience working on contentious and non-contentious trademark matters. You will enjoy working as part of a dynamic, fast paced team and interacting with internal stakeholders and overseas legal associates and certainly be seeking a role where you can develop your experience within an iconic global sports brand.
We anticipate the successful candidate to have trained in private practice, with ideally in-house experience possibly via secondment, but not essential.
