Litigation Paralegal- French Speaking
Contract: Permanent
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Working Hours: 9:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)
Language Requirement: Proficient in French (native or fluent)
An award-winning law firm recognised for pioneering international litigation is seeking a French-speaking Paralegal to join its specialist team. The team is engaged in complex, high-profile cases concerning environmental and human rights abuses committed abroad by multinational corporations. The role involves regular overseas travel and a commitment to supporting vulnerable client groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Support group actions through document review, legal research, and case preparation
Liaise directly with clients, barristers, experts, and international contacts
Travel abroad regularly to collect witness evidence and assist with investigations
Prepare bundles, court documents, and maintain legal files and databases
Handle multilingual correspondence (particularly in French)
Coordinate logistics including travel, security arrangements, and meetings
Attend court as required
Requirements:
Fluent French speaker (native or fluent proficiency)
Legal qualification (LLB, GDL, LPC, LLM, or similar)
Experience in litigation, particularly in group or international claims, preferred
Strong written and verbal communication in both English and French
Proficiency in MS Excel and legal databases
Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle large volumes of information
Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice
Passion for justice and experience working with marginalised or vulnerable communities
