Our client, a prestigious City law firm, is seeking an experienced Records Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in records management within a legal environment.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing the day to day operations of the records function, and escalating issues to the Facilities Manager when necessary
- Managing the archiving, retrieval, and return of deeds and wills as needed
- Retrieving and returning files in a timely manner upon request
- Responding promptly and accurately to archiving queries via email and Microsoft Teams
- Coordinating with the external archiving storage providers, ensuring clear instructions are given for timely and complete collections and deliveries
- Conducting inductions for relevant new employees on records management services and procedures
- Preparing monthly workload and activity reports, including recommendations for additional resources if required
- Supporting the wider team in the annual review and update of archiving and destruction policies.
