We are seeking a skilled and proactive Legal PA to provide high-quality support to a friendly and bubbly team of fee earners in Private Client, Tax, and Family departments. This role involves heavy client interaction, making it ideal for someone personable, approachable, and confident in building strong relationships.

About the role As a Legal PA, you will play a key role in enabling fee earners to focus on their clients by managing their day-to-day workload efficiently. Reporting to the PA Team Leader, you will work closely with the legal secretaries and business support departments to ensure smooth operations across the team.

Key responsibilities

  1. Diary & Meetings: Manage diaries, arrange meetings, book rooms, prepare agendas, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Travel & Events: Organise complex travel and accommodation arrangements, manage related invoices, and prepare detailed schedules.
  3. Administrative Support: Handle photocopying, printing, filing, correspondence, and record keeping; ensure tasks are completed on time.
  4. Communication: Answer calls, manage emails and post, relay messages, and liaise with other departments as needed.
  5. Client Care: Maintain client records, manage basic client queries, and assist with scheduling client meetings.
  6. Document Production: Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, and presentations; maintain Excel spreadsheets as required.
  7. Financial Administration: Support time recording, billing, and credit control processes; liaise with accounts and prepare standard reports.
  8. Team Support: Assist colleagues with workload management, participate in departmental rotas, and support other teams as needed.

Skills and experience

  1. Strong IT skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other office systems.
  2. Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills.
  3. High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  4. Flexible, dependable, and able to take initiative.
  5. Confident, personable, and professional with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  6. System knowledge: 3E, IManage
